Fri 12/2 @ 8-10PM
OK, so it’s not exactly “photography” (although you can take pictures if you like): this week’s programming at the Cleveland Photo Fest at the Bostwick Design Art Initiative galleries on Prospect will feature experimental art-noise project Nihil Omnia, which features visuals to go with the “noise” as it “explores the subtexts of reality (and beyond) embodying all forms of existence” and a solo set by Shawn Mishak of Kid Tested.
There are photography connections: Jim Szudy, who is half of Nihil Omni with Shawn Slowburn, is one of the Cleveland Photo Fest’s directors. And Mishak has curated more than 100 exhibitions, performances and events, many of which have included photography.
Anyway, it’s a great time to stop own to the galleries and see the work of professional and student photographers and panels featuring the images submitted for CPF’s One Million Photos project. The gallery opens at 7pm; music (or “noise”) starts at 8. It’s free.
