The Rock Hall’s Summer in the City concert series continues with two more local bands that make this season the most genre-diverse yet. Newgrass trio Honeybucket has become a big local favorite since forming nearly five years ago. Their stellar musicianship and high-energy shows have made them an in-demand band for festivals and summer concert series such as this one. They’ll be joined by Akron folk/bluegrass/American quartet which also feaures Honeybucket mandolin player Brendan O’Malley and like them features a drum-free acoustic lineup.
They’ll perform outdoors on the plaza, weather permitting (if not, on the lobby stage) where there will be a beer garden and food trucks. It’s free.
