Mulberry Creek Herb Farm in Huron will be celebrating the holidays in a bigger way than ever this year — it’s the first year their Holiday Open House will take place in its new, much larger retail greenhouses. They’ll have a big 15-foot tree reigning over the two days of food, holiday workshops, gift-oriented vendors, eggnog and Christmas cookies.
Shop for fairy items, aromatherapeutics, jewelry, hand-knitted clothing and accessories, baby items and local honey. One vendor will even be offering chair massages if the holiday season has already begun to stress you out. And a full lunch menu will be available for purchase including butternut pasta, root veggie soup, beef au jus and gluten-free desserts.
Get in the holiday spirit with workshops in making door swags, cooking with bay leaves, creating your own bracelet, kombucha making and one that’s sure to be popular — keeping your plants alive in the house over the winter.
It will be a first opportunity for many of the regulars to see the newly constructed greenhouses which weren’t quite ready during the Garlic Festival back in September.
It’s free; some of the workshops have a fee.
