Singer/songwriter Anne E. DeChant became a huge favorite of local music fans back in the early-mid 90s when she was one of three women fronting the folk-rock ensemble Odd Girl Out. She launched her solo career in 1997 and has kept at it, putting out increasingly adept albums, packed with achingly heartfelt but joyously tuneful songs, and keeping her local fan base even after a move to Nashville in 2008.
In large part, that’s because she makes regular visits home. She’ll be back in town for a series of dates through mid July, kicking off with an appearance at the Music Box Supper Club this week. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.
