Piano Cleveland, the parent organization of the Cleveland International Piano Competition, does more than just run a prestigious competition for rising classical piano stars. It also hosts casual events out in the community to get all sorts of people involved in listening to — or even playing — piano music.
Piano Cleveland Live takes place at Phunkenship, Platform Brewery’s sour beer facility. And wouldn’t piano music sound better with a couple of beers? The music you’ll hear is very diverse too. There’s classical pianist Chengzi Li, jazz pianist Theron Brown, who’ll perform with trumpeter Tommy Lehman, and pop pianist Joe Leaman who’ll be joined by vocalist Helen Welch.
The program’s free; no reservations are required. Just stop by, order your beer and settle back to enjoy some great sounds.
