Sun 12/25 @ 11AM-5PM
If you or your family and friends don’t celebrate Christmas, what do you do while everyone around you is and things to do are mostly closed for the day?
No, don’t head to Walmart. Go over to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage to absorb the inspiring message of activism and persistence communicated by their exhibit This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement, featuring the work of nine photographers who captured the fight for African-American voting rights in the south in the 1960s. There will also be a screening of the documentary about those so-called Freedom Riders. And there’ll be a special hands-on activity: you and your kids can create cards welcoming new immigrants to northeast Ohio.
Admission is pay what you can, or bring a canned food donation for area food banks.
