The Oberlin Folk Festival offers a couple of days of free music, indoors and out, starting with a Friday evening concert at 7:30 pm in Tappan Square with Y La Bamba (in Wilder Main in case of rain). Then at 10pm singer/songwriter Margaret Glaspy plays at Cat in the Cream.

Student and local acts will play in Tappan Square on Saturday (or inside Cat in the Cream in case of rain), leading up to the evening concert with headliner Josh Ritter, an Idaho native and Oberlin alum who has established a productive musical career for himself, releasing nine albums since his graduation. Appalachian folk-style artist Vivian Leva, who recently release her debut Time Is Everything, opens, along with her performing partner, Riley Calcagno.
