Well, that’s all gone now. But the brews haven’t. It may not feel the same to enjoy the sitting in your living room by yourself or with your significant other, your buddies only accessible via Zoom. But many of Cleveland’s breweries are mostly offering their specialties for pickup or delivery. In most cases, you can place and pay for your order online, then drive by and pick up your brews curbside.
Market Garden Brewery is closed but its production facility is still brewing away, currently producing its spring and summer specialties. Orders to its store can be place by phone at 216-373-0700 or online. Pick up is Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-6pm at the giant “Beer” sign behind the West Side Market.
Goldhorn Brewery on East 55th is open Saturdays from noon-4pm, when you can stock up on six-packs, have your growler filled and snag one of their dinner platters, featuring sausages, mac & cheese, and more.
Cleveland’s original new-generation brewery, Great Lakes Brewing Company, is open for to-go and delivery orders of both beers and food. Their gift shop is also open for packaged beer, including growlers and crowlers-to-go.
Also open:
Forest City Brewery, open for carryout
Noble Beast, doing carryout and deliveries
Bookhouse Brewing, with delivery and carryout Wednesday-Friday 4-6pm, and Saturday and Sunday noon-3pm
Platform Brewing, with pickup at the Lorain Avenue location noon-8pm Monday-Saturday, and free deliveries over $20.
There’s a really good chance YOUR favorite microbrewery is open — call and find out. It’s been estimated that half of Ohio’s microbreweries could close due to the pandemic, so if you’re a beer fan, protect our assets! Order! That way you’ll still have that hangout when things return to a semblance of normal.
