Another Apollo’s Fire favorite, violinist Alan Choo (the group’s new assistant artistic director, will be featured in Vivaldi’s Tempesta di Mare (Storm at Sea) concerto. The program will also feature orchestral works by Marin Marais, Jean-Baptise Lully, Evaristo Felice Dall’Abaco and Andre Grétry.

As usual, founder/artistic director Jeannette Sorrell will be leading the ensemble at these concerts, which will also celebrate the release of Forsythe’s latest recording with Apollo’s Fire titled Heavenly Bach: Arias & Cantatas of J.S. Bach.

The ensemble performs at Akron’s First United Methodist Church on Thursday; Rocky River Presbyterian Church on Friday; and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights on Saturday and Sunday. Apollo’s Fire cellist René Schiffervwill do a pre-cncert talk an hour prior to each concert.
