For this month’s Walk All Over Waterloo, Deep Dive Art Projects is hosting a new show called Snap and a related poetry reading across the street at the Photocentric Gallery.
The show features a collection of found photos — snapshots taken by usually anonymous amateur photographers, capturing everyday moments and often accidental scenes. The show includes 35 such photos.
For the kickoff of the show, eight writers will perform work responding to one of the photos in the show, bringing in their personal emotions and memories. The writers include Lindsay Barba, Taylor C. DeClerico, Sujata Lakhe, Cora McCann Liderbach, Michael Lodserstedt (who compiled the show), Brittany McCauley, Ray McNiece, Shei Sanchez and Jackie Zielke. The reading takes place @ 6-7:30pm; the show will be on view at Deep Dive @ 5-8pm. It will be on view by appointment only through May 22.
