Sat 7/9
Over the last several year, local photographer/artist/entrepreneur/music scene veteran JimLanza and friends have been presenting a series of events in tribute to Cleveland’s punk’s scene called Cleveland’s Screaming. He promised that the show at the Beachland Saturday July 9 was the final edition.
The big attraction was the first (but presumably not last!) reunion of neo-punk rockers Archie & the Bunkers, who made a splash a few years ago as teenagers. Their high-energy set had the audience screaming and acting like jumping beans. Opening were Detroit bans The Ruiners and Bat Hearse which featured the same front people and slightly different punk/garage rock themes. Emcees the Mummy & the Monkey, who host a YouTube horror-film show in the tradition of Goulardi, added some color to the evening.
