The Baldwin Wallace University Department of Theatre and Dance isn’t sleepwalking through the pandemic. Its students have continued to hone their performance skills and offer them to audiences via streaming performances.
Now the department has joined with the film studies program in BW’s Department of Communication Arts and Sciences to present Qio Nguyen’s She Kills Monsters, with Keira McDonald directing and fight choreography by Dusten Welch.
“After a tragic accident, Agnes Evans tries to reconnect with her dead sister by playing Dungeons and Dragons,” says the synopsis. “After many adventures and fighting and killing monsters, Agnes learns more about herself and her sister than she ever thought possible — with loads of fights, geeky nerds, fairies, demons, ogres, and a five-headed dragon called the Tiamat.”
There will be five streaming performances Thursday April 29 through Monday May 3. Tickets are $10. Go here to buy them.
