James Patterson holds the record for having the most #1 New York Times bestsellers. That alone should tell you he writes the type of genre fiction you read at the airport and on the plane: gripping but not requiring deep concentration. He’s best known for his thrillers but has also written romance novels, nonfiction, young adult and middle school books, science fiction and human.
Now 74, he’s written more than 250 books and novellas, a large number of them with co-authors, including Bill Clinton, Bill O’Reilly and Dolly Parton who is working on a novel with him to be released next year. Together his books have sold hundreds of millions of copies.
On Tuesday October 19, the Hudson Library & Historical Society is holding a streaming author even with Patterson to talk about his catalogue, his writing practice and his most recent book, E.R. Nurses: True Stories from America’s Greatest Unsung Heroes.
The event is free but you must register. Go here.
