The Movement Project Dance Troupe Honors Women Electronic Musicians

Sat 7/17 @ 6 & 8PM

Tremont-based dance ensemble The Movement Project presents a new group of works inspired by “unsung” pioneer electronic composers Laurie Spiegel and Suzanna Ciani, an evening they’re calling patch[works] voices amplified. (Gee, wonder why they are “unsung,” hmmm?)

The ensemble will be performing at the new Pivot Center on West 25th and Seymour Avenue promising to “transport audiences through a visceral movement experience filled with brilliant sounds, hypnotic color and intricate patterns in this exuberant exploration of movement and sound.” The 45-minute performance will be followed with a talkback with the performers and choreographers and there will be an opportunity afterward to mingle with the performers; masks will be required for that (vaccinated patrons don’t have to wear them at their seats while watching the performance).

Tickets are $16 and will be sold only online. Get more information and tickets at themovementproject.org/jul-17-patchworks.
