Thu 3/30 @ 5:30PM
Yards Project curator Liz Maugans, she of the boundless creativity, has come up with yet another intriguing concept for a group show at gallery, the lobby of the Worthington Yards apartments in the Warehouse District.
The show is called The Infinite Mix and it spotlights artists who mix and manipulate media and technologies, creating collages, assemblages, photomontages and more, drawing from movements such as conceptual art, abstraction and surrealism.
As the show’s statement says, “The Infinite Mix celebrates not only a diverse group of artists at different stages of their careers but reveals their process of bringing together disparate materials to create their ideations. Through skill and care, artists juxtapose unexpected elements and concepts in their work to tell many different stories.”
Artists in the show include Robert Banks, Bruno Casiano, Bruce Checefsky, Abigail Cipar, Elizabeth Emery, Will Grimm, Ruth Green, Elaine Hullihen, Baila Litton, Barbara Martin, Linda McConaughy, Amber McElreath, Ted Nowick, Cynthia Petry, Louis Ross, and Mark Soppeland.
The opening on Thursday March 30 is free and open to all. The show will be on view through Saturday May 20.
