Fri 2/11 @ 8PM
Last November, Cleveland’s Dancing Wheels company, which performs choreography for a blend of “stand-up” and “sit-down” (wheelchair-using) dancers, performed a concert at the Festival Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo in León, Mexico, expanding awareness of their unique model to yet another country (They performed in China in 2019.)
Now they’re re-imagining their Mexican performance for Clevelanders in “Memories of Mexico,” which they’ll perform at the Rainey Institute. “Enjoy an evening of premiere choreographic works that will awaken you, educate you and be a sharing experience of the music, customs and traditions of the people of this beautiful country,” they entice us with. The evening will also include appearances by Rainey Institute students and School of Dancing Wheels performance ensemble.
General admission tickets are $20. There’s also a livestream option with household streaming tickets $35. Masks are required for those attending in person.
