Back in another era, like around March, Cleveland-based band Guy Snowdon & the Citizens was about to celebrate the release of two new singles, previewing their upcoming album, at a show at the Music Box Supper Club.
The pandemic intervened, but now the band is booked back at the Music Box on the Fourth of July, where they’ll do an hour-and-a-half concert of classic British and American rock by artists such as Cream, John Lennon and Tom Petty. Maybe, if listeners are lucky, they might slip in one of their own tunes. Both “The Hammer Falls” and “Runaway” are British Invasion-inspired pop rock so listeners might not even notice! Singer/bassist Snowdon himself is a native of Birmingham, England, although he’s made his home in Cleveland where he formed the band with keyboard player Billy Brock, guitarist Tyler Ray and drummer Zachary LeFeber.
It’s going to be strictly a listening show though; groups will be seated six feet from each other. There’s no intermission and concert goers are asked to leave the concert club immediately after the show, although they can hang out and socialize on the patio. Tickets are $8 in advance, $12 at the door, and reservations are required for dinner.
