Last year, Dobama Theatre mounted a production of Rick Elice’s Peter and the Starcatcher, which debuted in 2009 and ran for nine months on Broadway in 2012. Dobama’s run proved so successful, they’re doing an encore presentation.
The fantasy play, which features a small cast of a dozen actors playing more than 100 characters to tell its intricate story, serves as a prequel to the Peter Pan story. (There must be something in the air. Hook & Smee, currently running at Talespinner Children’s Theatre, does the same thing from another angle).
Dobama has greatly expanded its performance schedule for this show, adding more week nights and matinees over the holidays to its regular schedule. Tickets are $35-$38 for adults and $20 for students.
