Like most holidays these days, the solstice celebration seems to keep getting spread out. Oberlin’s Riverdog Barn is holding its annual solstice concert a few days late,. Headliners are progressive folk/R&B ensemble the Soul Proprioters, from right in Lorain County. They’ve been kicking around the area for a decade, playing a mix of originals and covers.
They’ll be joined by the Michigan duo of mandolin player Jason Dennie and singer/songwriter Rochelle Clark. There’ll be cabaret seating inside and out and a dance floor. It’s $15, $5 for students with ID, kids 12 and under free. As usual, you can bring your own food and refreshment.
