Classical Guitar Society Kicks Off Season with Free Showcase

Sat 9/10 @ 730PM

The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society launches its 2022-23 season in the usual way: with its annual showcase concert, showing off some of the best artists on this instrument in this area.

Performers include CCGS Educator, guitarist Rodrigo Lara Alonso with soprano Ashlee Foreman; the Gruca White Ensemble  featuring Robert Gruca on guitar and Linda White on flute; and guitarist Colin Davin. It will also include a performance by the CCGS’s 2022 student of the year, Danelis Cedeño Calderón. Check out the program here to find out what they’ll be playing. It ranges from traditional guitar music to classical to pop arrangements.

The event takes place at the Maltz Performing Arts Center in University Circle. It’s free but they’d appreciate advance registration. It will also be livestreamed; register here at least 24 hours before the concert to get the link.
