Greg Martin, who works in the antique wet plate collodion process, is a familiar face at the Cleveland Print Room where he’s exhibited and taught workshops. Pilar Rubi is new to CPR, working in Cleveland temporarily as part of the Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion program, as artist in residence. She too works in wet plate collodion — in her home country of Cuba.
The duo will come together to present a wet plate collodion demo, talk and brunch at CPR, where interested people can learn more about this difficult and temperamental 19th-century process. It’s free and open to the public.
