The Hildebrandt Building on the western fringe of Ohio City is the one of the latest old Cleveland industrial buildings to be repurposed as a hive for creative entrepreneurs and artists — and a location for special events.
If you’d like to check it out — and help a worthy cause — come to the Fiesta de Te in the Hildebrandt Building Courtyard. The event features tea-infused beer, kombucha tea cocktails and, we presume, just tea, from Storehouse Tea located in he building (its owner, Paula Hersman, is one of the event organizers), along with hors d’oeuvres and desserts, raffle prizes and entertainment. The money raised helps people right in the neighborhood, a magnet for people coming from other countries and cultures. It will go toward buying school uniforms, supplies and winter accessories for children at the Thomas Jefferson International Newcomers Academy. Tickets are $20.
