Do you love looking at pictures of traditional Christmases of the past when kids dressed in their Sunday best gathered under a heavy decorated real green tree in a wallpapered parlor, to unwrap packages containing train sets and baby dolls?
But was everything so warm and lovely like a Thomas Kinkaid painting in those Victorian Christmases. Find out when the Cleveland History Center again hosts its Ghosts of Christmas Past program, this year not a tour of the Hay McKinney Mansion but a virtual program. The hour-long program, part of its Speaking of Cleveland lecture series, looks at the ghost stories, superstitions and folklore that were part of Christmases in Cleveland in the 19th century.
It’s $15 general admission, $10 for Western Reserve Historical Society members. Register here for the Zoom program.
