Cleveland nonprofit Graffiti HeArt was founded by Stamy Paul, who had the idea that street art should be taken seriously and that opportunities should exist for these talented artists to be showcased, earn scholarships and snag commissions. Since its founding it’s provided dozens of artists with the chance to make work that beautifies the community — and get paid.
Graffiti HeArt will be hosting its Graffiti, Grapes and Valentines Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday February 6 @ 6-10pm, virtually of course. Its centerpiece is a silent auction of more than 30 works by local and international artists. Local artists, such as Bob Peck, Eileen Dorsey, R!ch Cihlar, Osman Muhammad aka SWIM and Garrett Weider, will be painting live at its gallery in AsiaTown.
There’ll also be live streamed music from DJ NuERA and Joey Aich, along with appearances DJs WRDSMTH, streaming live from Los Angeles, and RISK, streaming live from London. The $25 tickets include a commemorative wine glass; $75 tickets also include a bottle of wine. Buy them here.
