Thu 10/28 @ 7PM
Story Club Cleveland is a monthly event where a group of featured storytellers kicks thing off before volunteer storytellers, chosen from among those who sign up by a drawing, gets their turn at the mic.
And naturally, this month the theme is “Spooky Scary”— and that can mean any kind of scary, whether it’s the mysterious sounds in that old house you stayed in, or just watching the videos of January 6 at the Capitol. Sign-up starts at 7pm and the show starts at 7:30. If more than three audience members sign up to tell their stories, names are drawn from a hat. Each storytellers gets eight minutes — approximately 1,300 words — to share a tale of something that really happened to them (no making stuff up!)
At the Story Club event this month at CLE Urban Winery in Cleveland Heights, improv performer CJ Cobb and founder of Just Got With It Improv Reuben Ryan are the featured storytellers. Story Club Cleveland founder Dana Norris hosts.
There’s a suggested donation of $10 to help support the events.
