Wed 1/12 @ 10AM-5PM
Take a midweek break and stop by the Cleveland Museum of Art (as always, free, except for special shows). You’ve only got through Sunday January 23 to check out Collecting Dreams: Odilon Redon, a show featuring works in CMA’s collection by this unique late 19th-early 20th century French artist, in a variety of media including lithograph, pastel and charcoal, and a significant late painting on loan from the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. Redon’s strange, otherwordly images, steeped in fantasy, are considered to be harbingers of the surrealist movement, which started shortly after his 1916 death.
The current special exhibit, Revealing Krishna: Journey to Cambodia’s Sacred Mountain, is also schedule to close at the end of January (January 30). You can reserve tickets for that here.
There’s always plenty to check out, no matter what period or style you’re drawn to. Learn more here.
