Fri 9/23 @ 6-8PM
Future Ink Graphics, the new printmaking studio in the Pivot Center for Art, Dance and expression in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood, is opening a new exhibit this Friday called The Power of Latino Art/El Poder Del Arte Latino. It’s an appropriate location given that much of the surrounding community is Latino.
Curated by noted local artist Hector Castllanos Lara, it features the work of seven area artists: Bruno Casiano, Amelia Casiano, Kenron Morgan, Mariela Paz, Angelica Pozo, Ray Rodriques and Ana Luisa Sanches-Butte.
“Every day we continue to see and hear the news of the tremendous impact of the Latinos in the United States, sharing their cultures and positive contributions to society, the Latino art in particular has extended, bringing joy and admiration to many,” they say.
See the impact for yourself at the opening reception Friday September 23 @ 6-8pm. The show will be on view through November 4.
