  1. Robert Brown

    Dear folks,

You might be amused by my story. I grew up in MN and went to the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis campus, graduating after four years. There was another student who started at the same time, Robert Allen Zimmerman, who dropped out after a month or so, went off to New York City and the rest is history. He and I did not know each other personally but I saw him perform in “Dinky Town” right next to the campus. So indeed he and I are the same age. I have fun telling everyone about our overlap at the U but I explain who Robert Allen Zimmerman is only after I tell how sorry I was that he was not going to have the solid career of an engineer … like me!
