Professional dancer Regina Pietraroia first moved to Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood a decade ago, began teaching in the neighborhood in 2012, and has long wanted to open a dance studio there. She relates that as she rode her bike around the area during quarantine, she saw a building at West 5th and Jefferson in which she saw possibilities.
She has had a location in North Royalton for four years, where she serves dancers of all ages studying with professional instructors. But she says she saw a need for something family-oriented on Cleveland’s near west side and sees her new location as a community gathering place.
If you’d like to check it out, she’s holding an open house on Saturday August 29. Families are invited to see the facility and if they ike what they see, to sign up for classes. There’ll be sample classes for kids at 2pm and 3pm; registration is required. All visitors are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. There’ll also be a performance live streamed from the studio at 7pm.
