John Carroll Students Successfully Break Guinness World Record

We recently shared the news with you that two college sophomores, Zachary Sinutko and Collin Kennedy, who are producer and co-producer, respectively, of hip hop/rap show “808s & Mixtapes” on the John Carroll University radio station WJCU 88.7FM, were planning an assault on the Guinness World Book of Records. Their goal: to host the Longest Continuous Radio interview, breaking the record of 25 hours and 26 minutes, the weekend of February 5-6.

So you may have been wondering what happened. They succeeded. Sinutko and Kennedy were on the air from February 5 @ 7am through February 6 @ 8:35am for a total of 25 hours and 35 minutes. As they wound up, they were joined by University Heights mayor Michael Dylan Brennan and representatives from John Carroll’s Office of the President.
