Quartet of Top Veteran NE Ohio Jazz Musicians Live Streams from the BOP STOP

Sat 3/20 @ 8PM

Three of Cleveland’s most experienced professional jazz musicians got together in 2007 to form a group called Organ-ism, featuring David Thomas on the titular instrument, Howie Smith on saxophones and Bill Ransom on drums and percussion. they added yet another stellar veteran, guitarist Bob Ferrazza, in 2011. The four musicians have individually played with artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Dianne Reeves, Patrice Rusher College, Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University, Joe Lovano, Donad Byrd and many more; between them, they’ve taught in virtually every music program in the region.

Together they create set lists that include pieces by members of the group as well as distinctive versions of tunes by artists such as Janis Ian, John Lennon/Paul McCartney, Jim Webb, Paul Simon, Freddie Mercury of Queen and Willie Nelson.

They’ll be live streaming from the BOP STOP on Saturday March 20. The concert is free although donations, which you can make here, will be warmly appreciated.
