German Piano Trio Swings Through Rocky River on First U.S. Tour

Mon 2/10 @ 7:30PM

While the three members of Germany’s Phaeton Piano Trio — pianist Florian Uhlig, violinist Friedemann Eichhorn and cellist Peter Hörr — are all experienced and much-travelled musicians, their collaboration as Phaeton is relatively new. So much so that they are doing their first tour of the U.S. now, performing at handful of dates at venues such as the Library of Congress in D.C., the Frick Collection in New York and the San Jose Chamber Music Society.

While travelling from east coast to west coast, they’ll be touching down in flyover country — northeast Ohio. The Rocky River Chamber Music Society managed to snag them for their concert series, taking place at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church where they’ll perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Trio in D major, Felix Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, and Antonin Dvořák’s Piano Trio No. 4 in E minor.

Best of all, the concert, like all RRCMS concerts, is free. Kick in a little donation of gratitude!
