Former Cleveland Councilman Zack Reed Talks About Civic Issues @ The City Club

Wed 8/5 @ noon

What’s high-profile Cleveland politico Zack Reed — former city councilman and 2017 mayoral candidate — up to now?

Surprisingly — or maybe not — the Democratic councilman is the statewide minority affairs coordinator for Republican Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, who has actually demonstrated more openness to fair, inclusive voting practices than some of his GOP colleagues. Reed’s jobs is to connect with minority voters and business groups across Ohio, which sounds pretty non-GOP to us.

Reed will be interviewed by City Club of Cleveland CEO Dan Moulthrop as part of their ongoing series of virtual forums. They’ll talk about issues such as police reform, gun violence, affordable housing and, presumably, fair, accessible elections.

Reed will share his thoughts on some of the most pressing issues facing our communities: police reform, safety, gun violence, and affordable housing. If you have a question, tweet @The CityClub or text 330-541-5794.
