The whole family should get a kick out of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s annual fossil fest. But for kids especially it will be an eye-opener as they get to learn how fossils give us information about life in prehistoric times.
Local paleontologists will be on hand to do presentations and demonstrations, sharing info about Ohio fossils and rocks, fossil prep and what different fossils can tell us. You can bring in your own fossils to be ID’ed, test your fossil knowledge and meet members of local geology clubs. There’ll be presentations and Q&A sessions in the Murch Auditorium throughout the day.
It’s all free with regular museum admission.
