Loganberry Books on Larchmere is bringing back a longtime beloved tradition for the store: its annual Haunted Bookshop, which it hosts on the final Saturday of October each year.
Guests traverse Diagon Alley through the Annex Gallery and end up outside, enjoying spooky sights and sounds along the way. Tour guides will share literature-related stories along the way. Masks and costumes are required.
This year’s Haunted Bookshop will allow one family unit of up to six people to go on each tour. The first hour, with more daylight, is for “Gentle Ghouls,” less scary and more appropriate for the littlest readers, while 6-8pm is for “Robust Goblins,” although they emphasize that none of the tour is very scary. You’ll probably be more freaked out reading a Sherlock Holmes story.
