Improv Troupe Celebrates 20th Anniversary at Jilly’s in Akron

Wed 2/9 @ 7PM

The Point of No Return Improv ensemble has been kicking around the area for 20 years, performing “medium-form improv,” a compromise between the brief takes of shortform improv and could-be-evening-length long form. Like most improv groups it takes audience suggestions and adds “Brave volunteers may even find themselves on stage being serenaded or used as props by the cast.”

The group is a regular at Jilly’s Music Room in Akron it performs once a month, so that’s where it’s hosting its 20thanniversary celebration. And because it’s the 20th, the theme is “roaring 20s.” There’ll be 20s-themed cocktails and they’re inviting everyone to dress up in 20s-style garb. You can bring the kids too, although they warn it can get a little risqué for those under 13.

Admission is free.
