Sat 8/13 @ noon-midnight
The Cleveland Bazaar took July off, canceling its regular second Saturday event at the Lake Affect Building at the last minute. That sounded a bit ominous for the group that seems to be part of a rapidly growing number of events, but it turned out not to be.
They’re back at the Lake Affect Building with the usual array of local artisans, craftspeople and makers of everything from upcycled handbags to scented lotions. But they’ve partnered with the Platform Concert series, which also takes place at the building, to offer a full day and evening worth of activities and debut the new courtyard patio.
Come to the market at noon, and shop until 7pm, then hang out at the inside bar or out on the patio, have something to eat and drink, visit the resident artists hosting open studio hours, and finally, as evening comes, kick back with another drink and listen to music from Paper Morning, Archie L. Green and Oldboy.
There’ll be a special happy hour from 7-8 before the music starts, with outdoor vendors until 8. The market is free; the Platform concert is $8 in advance, $10 at the door, and you get $5 off with a purchase at the market. While the Platform concert is 21 and over, the market is kid- and dog-friendly.
