North Coast Harbor Day Wraps Up Cuyahoga50 Celebration

Sun 6/23 @ noon-5PM

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Great Lakes Science Center will be helping to wrap up the nearly a week’s worth of events surrounding the 50th anniversary of the last Cuyahoga River fire with the Cuyahoga50 at North Coast Harbor Day. The area around the two neighboring museum will be filled with live music, hands-on activities and booths hosted by community organizations.

The Mayor’s Office of Sustainability will kick it all office at 12:30 on the Rock Hall Plaza Stage with welcoming remarks, joined by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime activist for clean water with his organizer Waterkeeper Alliance. Local Americana band Hey Mavis will perform on that stage at 1pm, followed by the Labra Brothers at 3:30.

The Great Lakes Science Center will have activities inside and out (and free admission from noon-5pm!) Look for bubble making on the front lawn, learn about underwater robotics outside on the Harbor Level, see a combustion show, take in a show on the physics of sounds waves, and at 3:15pm, catch the World of Water Big Science Show to learn about the amazing properties of water.

All the outdoors events are free.
