Yes, there are going to be shows on the Rock Hall Plaza this summer, but the Rock Hall’s plaza but they’re going to be a little different.
The beer garden stage will host a variety of local artists starting July 2 with northeast Ohio-bred, Akron-based hip-hop vocalist/songwriter Big Jul Green, who released his debut full-length album 5am to Midnight in October. Intense, bluesy guitarist/vocalist/ songwriter Madeline Finn who performs with her band Whiskey Hollow and as a solo act plays on Saturday July 4. Shows continue every Thursday and Saturday through August 22 with acts such as acoustic Delta blues-style slide guitarist/vocalist Austin “Walkin’ Cane” Charanghat, Brazilian guitarist Moises Borges, honky-tonk country band the Shootouts, swamp rockers Cats on Holiday, and eclectic funk/gospel/pop/jazz bassist, keyboard player, songwriter and vocalist Afi Scruggs.
