Fri 4/30 @ 4-7PM
The Cleveland Print Room will finally be opening a show with an event visitors can attend — although in limited numbers, with only 10 at a time allowed in.
The Suitcase Project features nine people from immigrant families assembling items found in immigrants’ suitcases to explore what social and cultural artifacts they felt were significant to bring with them to their new lives in Cleveland. Artists in the show include Anonymous, Rebecca Abramovich, Mallorie Freeman, Clarissa Jakobsons, YunJung Lee, Sabine Kretzschmar, Nicole Ledinek, Andrew Aaron Valdez and Gina Washington.
The show will be at the Cleveland Print Room through the end of May, then travel to the Akron Soul Train gallery in downtown Akron. Go to www.clevelandprintroom.com to schedule an appointment to see the show in the gallery. It will also be online as a virtual exhibit.
