Matsuri is Japanese for “festivals” and if you have seen the Cleveland Museum of Art’s current exhibit, Shinto: Discovery of the Divine in Japanese Art, you will have seen depictions of some of them.
Matsuri is the theme of the museum’s monthly MIX evening this month, with a focus on Japanese culture. There’ll be sake-based cocktails based, taiko drumming, and J-Pop, and of course the opulent array of Japanese art and artifacts in the show.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 the day of the event. Food and drink are available for purchase. It’s an 18 and over event.
