Jim Wadsworth Productions, which booked the music at Nighttown prior to the pandemic, has joined with the Maltz Performing Arts Center which has been streaming music since last summer, to bring some of the local jazz artists people enjoyed at Nighttown into their homes.
The three-concert series starts on Wednesday February 10 with vocalist Evelyn Wright and pianist David Thomas, well known to local audiences for playing, well, everywhere. On Friday March 12, Brazilian guitarist Moises Borges will perform with a quartet. And on Tuesday April 6, trumpet player Dominick Farinacci lead the Tri-C student group, Spirit of the Groove.
These are among many concerts being live streamed from the Maltz PAC, mostly on Wednesday but occasionally other evenings as well. Go here to stream the concerts. They’re free but donations are deeply appreciated!
