CAN Journal Launches Fall Issue at East Cleveland Cultural Space

Fri 8/28 @ noon-8PM

Usually CAN Journal, the publication of the Collective Arts Network, representing a spectrum of visual arts organizations, museums and creators in northeast Ohio, celebrates the release of each quarterly issue with a party at one of the venues in its network.

After a couple of virtual launch parties, it’s kinda sorta doing that again. It’s taking place at the Edward E. Parker Museum of Art in East Cleveland, a gallery and shop devoted to showcasing prints, paintings and sculpture by Cleveland artists Edward Parker, much of it a tribute to African-American culture and history. There visitors will be able to pick up the fall issue of CAN Journal from noon-8pm and explore this lesser known cultural space.

If you can’t get there, at 7pm CAN editor Michael Gill will be hosting a conversation with Parker and conducting a tour of the space, which will be streamed on Facebook Live.
