Fri 12/2 @ 6-10PM

Enjoy a festive Friday in the Waterloo Art District during the December Walk All Over Waterloo. Many of the street’s galleries will be featuring handmade, original items for gift-giving.

You’ll also have a chance to see the last day of John “Derf” Backderf’s show at Waterloo Arts, featuring work from his graphic novel about the good old days of pre-gentrified Prospect Avenue and Maria Neil Art Project’s Alternative Movie Posters show. (Both offer some distinctive and not outrageously expensive gft possibilities).

Article will be featuring Cherie Spencer Lesnick’s Finding Beauty with paintings, handcrafted teddy bears and more. More info here.

And while you can’t take it with you, you’ll want to be sure to stop in the installation gallery Satellite Gallery for its new show Optic featuring room makeovers by Crystal Beiersdorfer, Sage Byham, Bob Drake and Nancy Frazier.

Then head over to Praxis Fiber Workshop for its first Annual Holiday Benefit from 6-9pm, with music by Maura Rogers & the Bellows, a silent auction and raffle and food by April Thomas. Tickets are $35.

There’s much more to see so start early and make sure to walk the entire length of the street.
