Environment Ohio Provides a One-Stop Shop for Environmental Information

“Every day, we see more heartbreaking evidence of the damage being done to our planet: climate change, plastic pollution, wildlife disappearing forever,” says Columbus-based Environment Ohio, part of the Environment America network of organizations, on its website. “But we also see the solutions all around us, practically begging us to adopt them: solar and wind power, electric cars and buses, more walkable and bikeable cities, reusing and repairing stuff instead of throwing it away, and on and on. Environment Ohio’s mission is to transform the power of our imaginations and our ideas into change that makes our world a greener and healthier place for all.”

The group provides actionable information to the public in a variety of ways, including through news conferences, research papers, media interviews, op-eds, letters to the editors, online advocacy and more. In normal times, its organizers work public events and gathering places, making people more aware of ways they can join the fight for the environments.

Whether you want to save the bees, support solar and wind energy, protect public lands and endangered species, or ameliorate lead, they have an initiative to get engaged with.
