Mon 3/8 @ 10-10:45AM
It’s the time of the year when maple treats are tapped for the sap that makes maple syrup, but the usual round of Maple Syrup Festivals are cancelled for the year. So it’s no wonder that the live sap-gathering/sugarhouse tours at Geauga Park District’s Swine Creek Reservation are all booked up.
But you can still join them on Monday March 8, when they present an online program on maple sugaring. If you’d like to learn more about the process of colleting the sap from the trees and turning it into syrup for your pancakes, along with the role Geauga County has had in maple syrup production, sign up for the free program. The adult program runs from 10-10:45am, and there’s a program for school-age kids from 1-1:45. Go here to register and get the link to join.
