Once the weather starts warming up, heartier foods seem less appealing. And that fresh, local produce flowing into farmers markets will soon be abundant.
It’s time to start thinking about all the different ways that produce can be turned into refreshing, great-tasting summer salads. That’s where Ken Hatfield, chef/owner of Hatfield’s Goode Grub in the Kamm’s Corners neighborhood is ready to lent a hand. The 28-year chef acquired diverse experience including working at Chicago’s House of Blues before starting his food truck in Cleveland in 2015 and his restaurant, offering “southern comfort fusion food,” the following year.
He’ll be the guest of the Hudson Library & Historical Society for a live virtual cooking session where he’ll show viewers the basics of creating summer salads, including potato salad.
It’s free but registration is required. Go here.
