City Club Holds Its First Post-Pandemic Live Forum — On Public Square

Tue 7/6 @ noon-1PM

Back in 2019 — remember that year? — the City Club of Cleveland held a series of free, open-to-all forums called City Club in Public Square. That year, the four forums addressed different aspects of climate and environmental action.

Last year, of course, anything that drew a crowd was off the table. But the City Club is again bringing its forums back to Public Square, starting this week with “How to Spend a Billion Dollars: The American Rescue Plan Act and Cuyahoga County.”

It explores how money intended to ameliorate the impact of the pandemic can best be used to do so, while at the same time addressing long-standing problems and inequalities in the community. Panelists include Cleveland Neighborhood Progress CEO/President Tania Menesse, Ken Surratt of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, and Will Tarter Jr of the Center for Community Solutions. Ideastream’s Rick Jackson moderates.

Bring your lunch or get something from one of the food trucks that will be on Public Square. The forum will also be livestreamed at the City Club Facebook page.
