There’s one holiday tradition that would likely be a major superspreader event: the annual Messiah sings that pop up all over the place for people to participate in singing excerpts from Frideric Handel’s well-known 1741 oratorio. All those people jammed together singing at the top of their lungs. Hallelujah! So this beloved tradition is mostly on ice this year.
But you can still sing along in the privacy of your own home to Trinity Cathedral’s rebroadcast of excerpts from its 2019 event, as part of its Brownbag concert series. Join the Trinity Chamber Orchestra and soloists and conductor Todd Wilson and sing to your heart’s content. If you don’t have a score, download a free edition in the public domain here.
