Bri Bryant is known to Cleveland-area music fans as half of the pair of backing vocalist (along with her husband) who are part of bluesy soulful rockers Welshly Arms, who have been making music and touring heavily for the better part of the last decade, including performances at many prestigious music festivals such as Lollapalooza and Firefly, sometimes doing as many as 200 performances a year.
Obviously, last year was different. And with time at home, Bryant was able to spend more times focusing on her solo career under the name Lady Bri.
She’s just released a video got her single “This Will Be the Day,” which is featured in the opening of CW’s new docu-series All American Stories, which depicts the stories of eight athletes and the challenges they faced. Bryant’s tune is typical of her explosive R&B vocal style, fueled by expansive arrangements. You can watch the video, which was filmed in Cleveland, here.
Bryant’s music has been widely heard on promos for TV shows such as American Idol, and ads for companies such as L.L.Bean and Mcdonald’s.
